1. Punctuality

Riders should arrive on time for their lessons to ensure that the lesson can start promptly and to allow for proper warm-up and preparation. Late arrivals can disrupt the flow of the lesson and may result in a shortened lesson time.

 

2. Safety

Safety is of utmost importance in dressage lessons. Riders should follow all safety guidelines provided by the instructor, including mounting and dismounting procedures, proper use of equipment, and maintaining a safe distance from other riders in the arena.

 

3. Respect for the horse

Riders should treat their horses with respect and kindness at all times. This includes using gentle aids and cues, avoiding excessive use of force or punishment, and being aware of the horse's physical and mental well-being..

 

4. Horse care

Riders should be responsible for the care and grooming of their horses before and after the lesson. This includes properly tacking up the horse with the appropriate equipment, checking the horse's hooves for any issues, and ensuring the horse is properly cooled down and cared for after the lesson.

 

5. Communication

Riders should communicate openly and honestly with their instructor, discussing any concerns or questions they may have. It is important to have a clear understanding of the lesson objectives and to ask for clarification if needed.

 

6. Progression

Dressage is a progressive discipline, and riders should be prepared to work on building their skills over time. It is important to set realistic goals and to be patient with the learning process.

 

7. Sportsmanship

Riders should demonstrate good sportsmanship and respect towards other riders and instructors. This includes being supportive and encouraging to fellow riders, following arena etiquette, and being gracious in both victory and defeat.

 

8. Cancellation

If you need to cancel a lesson, we kindly request that you provide us with at least 24 hours' notice. This allows us to make necessary adjustments to our schedule and offer the time slot to another client. In the event that you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice or fail to show up for your scheduled lesson, we regret to inform you that a cancellation fee will be applied. This fee covers the costs associated with the instructor's time and the preparation of the lesson. However, we understand that emergencies and extenuating circumstances can occur. In such cases, we encourage you to reach out to us as soon as possible to discuss the situation. We will do our best to find a suitable solution and accommodate your needs.

 

9. Policy regarding the cancellation of clinics booked abroad and the associated costs

Once the clinics abroad have been booked and deposits have been paid, we regret to inform you that the clinic cannot be completely cancelled. This is due to the fact that flight tickets have already been booked and costs have been incurred. However, we understand that unforeseen circumstances like Covid, other illnesses or family circumstances may arise, and we are committed to providing you with a solution. In such cases, we offer a guaranteed postponement of your clinic. This means that if you are unable to organise the scheduled clinic, we will work closely with you to reschedule it for a later date that is convenient for both parties. Please note that our policy does not include a money-back guarantee. We understand that this may not be the ideal situation for you, but we assure you that we will do our best to accommodate your needs and ensure that you receive the services you have paid for. We will be available to discuss the available options and assist you in rescheduling your clinic.
